Nory Peters
Nory Peters is a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature. Her research is most broadly concerned with the intersections of political theory and cultural production, with an emphasis on the philosophical frameworks, representations, and politics of human rights. Her recent work takes as one of its objects of investigation the ways in which affect and the language of rights produce subjects specific to capitalism. She is particularly interested in strategies of audience (de)politicization through both public political discourse and aesthetic representation in particular.
