Jessica Anne is a writer and theate artist in Chicago. Her book A Manual for Nothing was released in 2017 by Noemi Press. She's an alumna of the No Futurist ensemble. She's also a co-curator of Lit Crawl Chicago and the nonfiction editor of MAKE Magazine.

Carla Faesler (Mexico City, 1967) is the author of Formol (Tusquets, 2014), which was named the best book published in 2014 by La Tempestad magazine in its annual Presente de las Artes en México issue. In 2002 she won the Gilberto Owen National Prize for Literature.

Juan Gaitán is the Director of the Tamayo Museum in Mexico City. He has worked on projects on historical modernism and the cultural uses of the public sphere. He was curator of the Eighth Berlin Biennial (2012-14) and worked at the Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Dr. Héctor García Chávez holds a PhD from the University of Chicago. He is a Professor of Literature and Cultural Studies, Mexican Cinema and Literature, and Gender Studies and Queer Theory at Loyola University where he also serves as director of the Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies Program.

Danny Giles combines sculpture, performance, research, and pedagogy to give form to political and metaphysical positions. Giles received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2011) and his MFA from Northwestern (2013). Giles has been in residence at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013.

Coya Paz is a writer and director raised in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, and the United States. She is the Artistic Director of Free Street Theater, and a cofounder of the Proyecto Latina collective. Coya is an Associate Professor at DePaul University. She is a regular contributor for Vocalo.org.

Amalia Pica’s wide-ranging practice includes sculpture, photography, drawing, film, installation, and performance. The works often invite the viewer to reflect on the construction, effectiveness, and the performative nature of thought and speech. Pica studied sculpture at ENBAPP in Buenos Aires and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten.
La amplia práctica artística de Amalia Pica está conformada por fotografía, escultura, dibujo, cine, instalación y performance. Eduardo Rabasa is the founding editorial director of Sexto Piso Editorial, the winner of the 2004 International Young Publisher of the Year Award. He writes for the newspaper Milenio. His first novel was A Zero-Sum Game (Deep Vellum 2016). Rabasa was named one of the top 20 Mexican writers under the age of 40 by the Mexico20 project.

Cristina Rivera Garza is a professor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston, where she developed the first doctoral program in Creative Writing in Spanish in the United States. Her 2011 novel, Nadie me verá llorar, won the Sor Juana International Prize. She has also won the José Emilio Pacheco Excellence in Literature Award and the Roger Caillois International Prize (France, 2013).

Julie Rodrigues Widholm is currently the director of the DePaul Art Museum. She previously worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago as a curator. Rodrigues-Widholm edited the books Escultura Social: A New Generation of Art from Mexico City (Yale University Press, 2007) and Doris Salcedo (University of Chicago Press, 2015).

Erika L. Sánchez is the daughter of Mexican immigrants. A poet, novelist, and essayist living in Chicago, her debut poetry collection, Lessons on Expulsion was published by Graywolf in July 2017. Her debut young adult novel, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, was released this month by Knopf Books for Young Readers. She was recently named a 2017-2019 Princeton Arts Fellow.

Victoria Saramago is an Assistant Professor in Brazilian Literature at UChicago. She hold a Ph.D. in Iberian and Latin American Cultures from Stanford University. She works in the intersection of ecocriticism and fiction theory, and is interested in theoretical approaches to the representation of forest and rural areas in Latin American fiction.

Selina Trepp combines installation, drawing, painting, and sculpture to create intricate setups for photos and videos. In addition to the studio-based work, Selina is active in the experimental music scene. In this context she sings and plays the videolah to create projected animations in real-time as visual music.

He co-edited The Latino/a Midwest Reader (University of Illinois Press, 2017), a collection of scholarly essays about the Latina/o experience in a changing Midwest.

Aura Xilonen is a novelist and filmmaker from Puebla, Mexico. She was born in Mexico City and spent her childhood in Germany. The Gringo Champion (Europa), her first novel, which she completed at the age of 19, was the winner of the 2015 Premio Mauricio Achar.
