Santiago X
Santiago X is a multidisciplinary artist. His work illuminates the space between the ancestral and the post-human world. He is an advisor on the inaugural Chicago Monuments and Memorials Committee, and the first Native American contributor to the Chicago Architecture Biennial. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally in galleries and venues such as the Museum of Contemporary Native Art, Ars Electronica, and the MCA Chicago. In 2020, X was commissioned by the U.S. State Department as lead artist of The American Arts Incubator Brazil, where he traveled to Brazil and conducted workshops culminating in a virtual reality exhibition, entitled PORTAL. He defines himself as Indigenous Futurist artist.
Santiago X es un artista multidisciplinario. Su trabajo arroja luz en el espacio liminar entre lo ancestral y el mundo posthumano. Es consejero del comité del Chicago Monuments and Memorials Committee y el primer nativo americano que ha contribuido a la bienal de arquitectura de Chicago, Chicago Architecture Biennial.
