Zespo

Zespo is a visual artist living and working in the Chicagoland area. He is the Chicago Visual Arts Director for the Lit & Luz Festival as well as an Artistic Associate for the Collaboration Cohort. Working closely with the Mexico City Visual Arts Director, Zespo organizes the programming on behalf of the visual artists participating in each festival cycle and acts as a liason between artist and hosting city. 
Aside from his painting practice and role in the festival, he is also the Program Administrator & Curator for the Open Practice Committee, the visiting artist program in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago.

Zespo es un artista visual que vive y trabaja en el área de Chicagolandia. Es Director de Artes Visuales, Chicago del Lit & Luz Festival, así como Asociado Artístico del Grupo de Colaboración. Trabajando de cerca con el Director de Artes Visuales, Ciudad de México, Zespo organiza la programación en representación de lxs artistas visuales que participan en cada ciclo del festival, y sirve como enlace entre lxs artistas y la ciudad anfitriona.
Junto a su práctica pictórica y su rol en el festival, también es Programador y Curador de Programa del Open Practice Committee, el programa de artistas visitantes en el Departamento de Artes Visuales de la University of Chicago.
